Knee pain · Grand Rapids, MI
Knees carry the story of everything above them.
Knapp Family Chiropractic in Grand Rapids works with knee pain that has no dramatic injury to blame, the kind that builds up from how you stand, walk, and carry load. Knees often hurt because of a problem somewhere else in the chain.
Sound like you?
- Aching knees on stairs, after runs, or at the end of a workday
- Pain that moved in gradually rather than from one injury
- One knee that always seems to take the hit
- You want to stay active without babying it forever
How Dr. Knapp looks at it
Dr. Knapp evaluates the whole weight-bearing chain, pelvis, hips, knees, ankles, and the spine above them, because uneven loading commonly starts higher up. Where the findings support it, specific adjusting of the pelvis and extremity joints can improve how the knee tracks and loads. For many patients that means less irritation with everyday movement.
What to expect
A standing and moving exam, not just a table exam, because knees behave differently under load. Honest triage matters here: some knees need imaging or an orthopedic opinion, and you will be told when yours does.
